Banyan Communications Wins Gold and Silver at the 47th Annual Telly Awards
ATLANTA, GA – 5/26/2026 – Banyan Communications announced today that two of its creative public health video campaigns earned Gold and Silver honors in the 47th Annual Telly Awards.
Banyan Communications received a Gold Telly Award in the Social Video – Health & Safety category for “Bad Air Day” and a Silver Telly Award in the Non-Broadcast – Health & Safety category for “Are Clinical Trials and Studies Safe?”
The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television and are judged by leaders from streaming platforms, television networks, production companies, and creative agencies. This year’s winners include organizations and brands such as Paramount TV, Warner Brothers Discovery, FOX Entertainment, TED, Mayo Clinic, Sony Music, and Harvard Business School.
“Bad Air Day,” created in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Environmental Health and Division of Environmental Health Science and Practice, was recognized for its impactful storytelling and innovative use of social video to raise awareness around public health and environmental safety. “Are Clinical Trials and Studies Safe?,” developed alongside the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, was honored for its accessible, trust-building approach to addressing public concerns and misconceptions surrounding clinical research participation.
Both award-winning projects reflect Banyan’s continued commitment to translating complex public health topics into accessible, human-centered storytelling designed to build trust and drive informed decision-making.
“At Banyan, we believe the most effective public health storytelling goes beyond simply raising awareness,” said Jon Orchin, Director of Creative Strategy at Banyan Communications. “When creative work connects with real human emotions and lived experiences, people are far more likely to remember it and act on it. These projects challenged our team to communicate complex health topics in ways that felt emotionally honest, visually engaging, and deeply human.”
With more than 13,000 entries submitted globally, winners were selected by The Telly Awards Judging Council, which includes over 250 leading experts across the worlds of video, television, streaming, and production. This year’s judging panel included leaders from Google, HBO, Netflix, and the WNBA.
