THE CHALLENGE

The US Department of Health and Human Services came to us when they wanted to boost interagency collaboration in order to serve the public with long-term recovery and resilience support.

We started with a big question.

We met this challenge with expert:

  • brand development

  • data visualization

  • print and digital design

We asked…

What if...

we enable 28 federal agencies to focus on not only responding to individual crises, but also building systems to help people thrive?

THE APPROACH

Over 70 federal agencies gathered to develop a whole-government approach to move away from a mindset of urgent response, and towards one of thriving.

Then, they had to communicate all that they had developed and how it fit together so it could lead to action. Banyan took on that challenge. We found the signal in the noise and developed a brand centered around the Vital Conditions for Health and Well-Being.

THE RESULTS

We created big suite of materials, including a 200+ page report, multiple presentations, one-pagers, data visualizations, icons, and other key graphics. This final product provides federal agencies with 78 actionable recommendations.

Admiral Levine, 17th Assistant Secretary of Health at HHS, said it “Gives me hope.”
